Article in the Autumn/Winter 2018 edition of Glamour magazine about one woman's journey of seeking help for anxiety and OCD that has so far mostly been reliant on antidepressant medication - whilst helpful at managing symptoms initially, has not allowed her to address the underlying issues. Also, now she is left with a range of negative symptoms whenever she misses a dose and is physically dependent on them. Dr Sarah Davies comments "It is not adequate treatment. At best antidepressants mask the symptoms, but without considering the root cause and the psychological aspect of the problem, they could do more harm than good. In my opinion, psychological therapy, nutrition and lifestyle changes should be the first options, with medication being a last resort"
